Spiritual/Alternative Weddings

This option is ideal if you feel that a traditional wedding ceremony doesn't reflect who you are or your spiritual beliefs. Even if you are having a traditional ceremony to keep the rellies happy, you can still add a spiritual element that's not too out there!

A Spiritual Wedding Ceremony is a  sacred ritual where you enter into a commitment to take this life journey of loving, caring and sharing with each other on the physical, emotional and spiritual levels. Each ceremony is personally created  and includes poetry and readings from ancient prophets that express the deepest emotions of man's heart and mind; and personalised vows and ring vows that flow beautifully into an exquisite ceremony that will be remembered for the rest of your lives.

Each ceremony is created especially for you with rituals from time-honoured cultures and other spiritual traditions. Together we will create a personalised ceremony where your own beliefs and philosophies are honoured.

If you have a Scottish background, you can have a Scottish handfasting or add a few of the old traditional rituals e.g. saying vows over an oathing/destiny stone, pinning of the clan tartan or sharing a drink from a Quaich. Included in fee of $495 -  Unlimited consultations, loan of a ceremony planning guide, official marriage certificate, on-line registration of marriage, covered signing table/chair, red carpet, readings printed on decorative cards, copy of ceremony, travel within 50kms of my office, rehearsal, PA system. I can also supply suitable table covers, a paua shell for sage burning, Tibetan Ting Sha & Singing Bowls for space or ring clearing.

Candles, sand, rose petals etc are normally supplied by the couple, however I can provide a simple unity candle and coloured sand/bottles for a nominal fee. Hand-fasting ribbons are supplied free of charge.
