My name is Marlaine and I am an authorised, professionally trained, full-time civil marriage celebrant, available to officiate at ceremonies seven days a week at any location in Australia. There are many beautiful places in and around Sydney to be married, so please contact me if you need some help with picking a spot. Weddings can be stressful; there is so much to do like choosing the bridal party, the dresses, the reception venue, the cake and then to top it off, you may be nervous on the big day! As a full-time, experienced celebrant, I will guide you all the way and ensure that your ceremony runs smoothly. Your wedding day is an important milestone in your life and choosing the right celebrant is crucial, so I offer all couples an obligation free consultation at my home/office in Croydon Park, Sydney's Inner West, to see if we gel. If you are unable to attend my office I am happy to come to your home at a convenient time. Not all couples want a large traditional wedding, some may want a simple no fuss wedding or an elopement, so I have several options and prices that will suit all budgets. My diverse background has enabled me to respect all cultures and religious beliefs and I am happy to incorporate any ritual from your cultural heritage into your ceremony to make your day more special and meaningful. I am passionate about my work and committed to ensuring that all ceremonies are delivered with warmth, humour (if appropriate), dignity and professionalism. As well as weddings I am also available for Commitment Ceremonies (same gender couples), Renewal of Vows, Baby Namings, Adult Namings, Engagements, Funeral & Memorial Services and Pet Funerals. You name it, I can do it! My Background - I was born in Dundee on the north east coast of Scotland, and my family came to Australia in 1962 (sorry, no accent left). We originally lived in the Liverpool area and finally settled into the leafy suburb of Mosman on Sydney's North Shore. I have lived in Balgowlah, Dee Why, Lane Cove, Russell Lea, Willoughby and am presently based at Croydon Park in Sydney's Inner West so I have a good knowledge of Sydney and surrounding areas. The Inner West is centrally located to all areas of Sydney and the motorways. My working background - I was a Bookkeeper for many years in the corporate world but found that being a celebrant gave me more pleasure, so I gave up my job in 2008 to work for myself. I still work as a bookkeeper but only for small companies or self-employed individuals and I also have been in private practice since 1999 as a hypnotherapist & natural therapist.
